  • Students will fill out Make-up/Incomplete work form in class, take it home with their assignment, and share it with parents (absent students will receive this filled out by teacher in their Friday Folder).

  • Students will fill out log the Make-Up/Incomplete work log in the classroom to help teachers know they are on-track to getting their work completed (teachers will do this step for absent students).

Specific Specials Information for Art

Grading
Small grades for "boardwork" and project prep will be taken, as well as bigger project grades. Students will be graded on a Standards-aligned rubric. If a student's project is incomplete on the due date, a partial grade will be taken on what they have completed and entered until the work is turned in fully completed. Please see the section above on make-up / incomplete work for more detailed information.

Art Club
This year, art club will be held multiple times throughout the year in month-long sessions. Each session will be based on specific materials and/or skills (painting, clay sculpture, etc). Students will apply for whichever club they like. The 1st 25 students to turn their applications in will be in that month's art club.

Art Show
This year is our 3rd annual in-house elementary art show! More information about times and dates for the show will be sent to you early April. You will also be informed if your child has work in the show. I do my best to get as many kids work displayed as possible. This is a monumental task! I have a ton of helpers and volunteers throughout the year who I could not do this show without. If you are interersted in helping prep the show or hang the show, please sign up on my volunteer google doc on the right column of this fusion page.
